Sonadow: The Creation - Chapter 4

Sonic and Shadow jumped the last few steps and their feet finally touched the concrete ground. There was a huge empty space like some huge ship was supposed to fly out of the spot.
"Down here." Shadow walked over to a dark hallway. He didn't question Shadow's memory of where he was going because he wouldn't know any better. Once they got to the end of the hallway he saw an electronic keypad glowing in the dark. Shadow walked up, pressed some numbers on it, and a door slowly creaked open. "After you." Shadow motioned his hand towards the door. Sonic walked into the room and couldn't see anything because it was pitch black.
"Glad you could make it Sonic." He heard a familiar voice ring through the room. He got into a defensive position as the lights flashed on. He saw Eggman walk up in front of him and lean down. "I bet you weren't expecting this." He laughed and tapped the glass Sonic had realized he was stuck in.
"What do you want egghead." He sneered.
"Well why do you think I had you led here." Eggman said in a mocking tone.
"What do you m-" Sonic stopped in mid-sentence and looked at Shadow. "What did you do to him?!"
"Well lets see." The bald man counted with his fingers. "I hacked into G.U.N, stole his programming, changed it so he would do what I wanted, and made him bring you here."
"What you want is your business with me, don't drag anyone else into it." Sonic begged.
"It's a bit too late for that." Eggman shrugged.
"Just let him go!" Sonic pleaded.
Eggman thought for a bit about his request and decided to compromise. "I'm going to put him in this cell so then when we're done with the experiment you guys can go back to your normal lives, if you don't have any serious side-effects." He laughed as he walked over to a panel with a bunch of buttons. He inserted a chaos emerald into the machine and looked at Sonic. "We're going to experiment on how you absorb the power of the chaos emeralds." He informed Sonic. "There's not reason not to tell you." Sonic thought it was best to keep quiet about the fact that Shadow could also turn super with the chaos emeralds too.
"What do you mean by side-effects?" Sonic looked into what he had said.
"We don't know if you'll survive this." Eggman warmed up the machine. "It's a big risk for the both of us I guess."
"How is it a risk for you at all?!" Sonic screamed worried.
"Oh you're right, it's not." He laughed. Sonic grunted and hit the glass, hoping to maybe crack it a bit. "Don't bother with that. It's unbreakable." Eggman didn't bother to look in his direction. Sonic kicked the glass in frustration. He had to find a way out of here before whatever experiments were about to come.
