Sonadow: The Creation - Chapter 2

Riiiiing
Tails' doorbell echoed through the house. He could see through the glass door that his house was all decorated and that no other party guests have arrived, which he had assumed because he was half an hour early.
"Hey Sonic!" Tails' swung the door open and invited him inside.
"Hey!" He replied to his best friend. He wasn't sure what kind of help Tails would need setting up the party. "Are you all set for the party?"
"You bet!" Tails said enthusiastically. "I woke up early to set up all the decorations." Tails stood back and looked at them from a distance.
"They look good." Sonic complimented
"Good? How bout great." Tails smiled proudly.
"Sure sure." Sonic waved his hand in Tails' face as he walked into the kitchen. He looked at all the party stuff and realized how much time and effort Tails must have put into everything. He suddenly felt bad because he hadn't come fast enough to help him. Tails must've noticed Sonic's change in mood because he put a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey don't worry about it, it wasn't nearly as hard as it looks." Tails reassured him.
"If you say so.." Sonic said pretending to feel better, though he still wasn't convinced. He walked over to the chips and dipped his in salsa. There were plenty of snacks set up for around 20 people even though only half of that amount would be attending. Sonic and Tails heard the doorbell ring again.
"I guess we have some people arriving early." Tails walked over to the door.


Music played in the background and Sonic walked upstairs to the bathroom. He locked the door behind him and looked in the mirror. He splashed some water on his face and checked the time. 7:29. The party started at 5... so where was Shadow? He had their present. He got out his phone and opened his text conversation with Shadow.
'He still hasn't responded to my text.' Sonic thought to himself. He called Shadow and pressed the phone to his ear. The phone rang and rang and there was no answer. 'Something's not right here.' He walked out the bathroom door. He headed for the front door but was stopped by Knuckles.
"Hey! Where ya going buddy?" He asked tripping over himself.
"Knuckles, you've had way too much to drink." Sonic couldn't help himself from laughing.
"You take that back you-" Knuckles stopped talking in mid-sentence. He had clearly forgotten what he was going to say. "Bye." Knuckles turned around before finishing his sentence. Sonic shook his head and headed out the door.
"I'll be back." He texted Tails and he ran off. The best place to look would be Shadow's house.


It took Sonic about 5 minutes to run to Shadow's from Tails' party. He knocked on the door and heard no answer.
"I'm coming in Shadow!" Sonic tried to call through the door. He cracked the door open and looked around. There was furniture thrown everywhere and everything that could be broken was. "Shadow?!" Sonic called out with a concerned voice. He ran around Shadow's house looking for him. He opened the door to Shadow's room and found him laying on the bed. "Shadow what are you doing?"
"Don't come any closer...please." Shadow said quietly.
"Shadow what's wrong?" He demanded more than asked. Though he listened to his request and didn't get any closer.
"I don't know... I can't control myself." He looked at his hand.
"Do you have any idea why?" Sonic took a small step closer.
"I only have one theory." Shadow turned so his back wasn't facing Sonic any longer. "You know I was created by gun meaning that they have control over me. If I can't control myself then it must mean that its them." Shadow grunted.
"So what do you think we should do?"
"Well." Shadow clenched his fist, "We have to find a way to make it stop."
